Credit Officer | CBD | 6 month contract | ASX

The role: Due to increased demand, this is a newly created role as the credit team continues to expand in this large ASX listed business. We are looking for an energetic individual with a strong track record in running a Credit in a medium or large sized business.

Your daily duties will involve:

• Full collections responsibility for portfolio 
• follow up short-payments and making sure appropriate and timely action is being taken
• Allocating payments, reconciling accounts, invoicing customers
• Liaising with sales reps inter-state and overseas to effectively recover debt  
• Credit checking & setting up new customer accounts
• Processing supplier invoices
• Coding to GL 
• Send cheque & EFT payment runs to suppliers
• Create sales reports using Excel 
• Associated admin/ office support as required
• Produce and present detailed reports for credit meetings or as required
• Process credit card transactions
• Processing direct debits as required
  Act as back-up when staff are away helping cover their duties including chasing up accounts on their portfolio

The candidate: We are looking for a candidate that has 1-5 years experience working in Accounts Receivable. You will have intermediate Excel skills (able to use V look ups & Pivot tables) and good systems skills. You will fit into a corporate team and have impeccable communication skills, verbally and written. You will have a proven strong track record of credit or collections.
