Company Overview

BlueCHP is a not for profit organisation and Tier 1 Community Housing Provider (CHP) and an accredited Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) provider under NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Our role is to grow the supply of high quality affordable and disability housing in Australia.

BlueCHP’s day-to-day activities revolve around property development, procurement and property management activities.  BlueCHP also leases out the majority of its properties to service providers to manage on behalf of the organisation. Currently BlueCHP outsources tenancy and maintenance management.

With assets of $310m, commercial ownership of over 750 homes, an independent professional skills-based board and management with substantial international experience in both the development and financial sector, BlueCHP is recognised within the housing sector as the pre-eminent CHP development and asset manager. As a Data Analyst specialising in crafting visualisations that tell a story, you will play a critical role in this strategic imperative by cleaning data, creating reliable sources of data sets and providing dashboards that solve business questions and deliver actionable insights. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of analysing and collating unstructured data using different tools such as Power BI and then providing insights back to the business.

 

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Creation and updating of regular reports, ensuring non duplicity, continuous improvements and modifications.
  • To provide support to the Financial accountant, Project accountant & Asset Manager in the preparation of information and variance analysis.
  • System updates to rectify inaccurate data.
  • To challenge and proactively identify and implement improvements in processes including, but not limited to, system information, reporting metrics and resource utilisation calculations.
  • To proactively identify opportunities for process automation.
  • Data cleansing
  • Data analysis and create dash boards
  • Work with IT team to ensure all systems are working fine and securely. 

 

To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Superior level computer skills, advanced excel skills & Office 365 skills
  • Hands-on experience in dynamic business report creation using modern BI tools (e.g. Power – BI)
  • Visual dashboard creation skills
  • Experience in documenting databases, business rules and business reporting requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to discuss data management and analysis with non-financial managers
  • Strong and detailed analytical skills, with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Attention to detail and persistence to drive issues to conclusion
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • Good commercial acumen
  • At least 12 months experience in a similar role, or a role that allowed you to build the skills to effectively accomplish this role.

The role is paying between $55,000 and $65,000 plus superannuation plus employee benefits of working in a Not For Profit organisation.
