Job Description
Danfoss is looking for an experienced leader to join the Pacific Local Management Team as the Director- Global Services.
This position will manage and lead the Global Services (GS) for Danfoss Pacific, including Finance & Reporting, Human Resources Operations, General Administration, Facilities Management and Business Support. In addition, manage the GS team and support Logistics.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage the Pacific GS team, ensuring performance expectations are met.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirement regarding reporting to local Authorities including but not limited to reporting of Tax, Insurances, and office operations.
- Manage GS Indirect expenses within agreed budget / target levels and ensure accuracy and timely Financial Reporting to all stakeholders as required, plus support to Sales Divisions for their Finance reports and queries.
- Deploy tax and legal consultants to ensure compliance to statutory regulations and Danfoss policies in all aspects affecting Pacific and Danfoss reputation.
- First level legal review of contracts, legal coordination with local counsel & Group CF Legal.
- Coordination with GS-RE for real estate leases, relocations, renewals, plus proposals for relocation.
- Maintain Business Management System (ISO9001) and participate in periodic audits as per agreed schedule.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety Acts and regulations, plus management of Workcover /ACC claims in conjunction with HR.
- Coordinate low level of Debtor overdue in collaboration with the Credit Management Team, CSC, and Sales staff.
- Execute HR operational tasks as directed by Regional HR, specifically the timely and accurate payroll processing for all Pacific entities.
- Ensure all company policies, procedures and processes are maintained on the local Intranet site on a regular basis, with links to corporate sites/policies.
Background & Skills
The ideal candidate possesses shall possess the following skills:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or MBA related fields.
- Proven experience as hands on Chief Financial Officer or similar position within a multi-national company experience, ideally at least 10+ years’ work experience.
- Proven experience preparing and analysing financial reports.
- Sound understanding of Logistics and the supply chain process.
- High IT literacy (SAP or similar ERP system).
- Fluent in English, verbal and written.
- Proven experience managing a small team, including remote locations across time zones.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a matrix (both local and remote).
- Strong knowledge of accounting and finance, understanding to local legal requirements and statutory compliances like VAT, etc.
