The Role:

An exciting opportunity is now available for a confident and motivated individual to join their REMEDIAL division in the position of Estimator.

The focus of this diverse role will be to manage the tendering, commercial and financial budgets and submissions for all projects under your control. You will set-up, oversee and develop the tendering processes, source quality sub-contractors and suppliers and assist in tender selection.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
 

Liaising with client, architects, builders, engineers and related parties

Checking and verifying quantities

Preparing of BOQs

Assisting in preparation of tender documentation

Ensuring that subcontractors adhere to deadlines

Managing contractors and suppliers

Negotiating with sub-contractors

Obtaining quotes for cost comparisons from different contractors

Quality and cost control

Key Selection Criteria

2 plus years estimating experience

REMEDIAL Estimating background.

Relevant Tertiary Qualification ideal, however not essential.

Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

High level of computer literacy.

Strong negotiation & decision-making skills

Ability to build effective business partnerships

Excellent attention to detail & organisational skills

Ability to meet strict deadlines & manage competing priorities

Knowledge of technical standards in preparing estimates & project costings

Practical knowledge of quality management & improving processes
