About the role
The Executive Manager Shoalhaven Water reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer – Stephen Dunshea. This position covers areas such as Water Customer and Business Services, Water Asset Planning and Development and Water Operations and Maintenance.
The position is based at the Nowra Administration Building, 36 Bridge Road, Nowra, working a Monday to Friday working week, 9:00am to 5:00pm, 35 hours per week. However, this position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including attendance at meetings and events outside normal hours.
Duties
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the focus of this position is:
To provide strategic direction and leadership to Shoalhaven Water Utility to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of all key result areas.
To provide high level advice and support to the Chief Executive Officer, Council and Councillors and to contribute effectively as a member of the Executive Management Team.
To work collaboratively to deliver the objectives of Council’s Community Strategic Plan.
To actively participate in Council’s continuous improvement programs.
To demonstrate and be a role model for the provision of excellent customer service both internally and externally.
Skills & Experience
In order to be successful in the position, you will possess:
Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience specialising in engineering, environmental management, the management of water and sewerage facilities and services.
Demonstrated senior management experience in managing business and customer focused operations, including the provision of high quality customer service.
Exceptional people management skills with the ability to lead, manage and motivate teams with a commitment to achieve high standards of performance.
Excellent consultation, negotiation, written and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated experience and ability in planning and work review, process improvement and quality with a strong focus on the delivery of strategic outcomes.
Council requires applicants for this position to undergo a National Criminal History Check, a Qualification Check and a pre-placement medical during the recruitment process. This check will be at the expense of Council.
