Finance / Administration Officer

Eastern Health Authority (EHA) is a local government organisation that provides environmental health services to over 160,000 residents who reside within its Constituent Councils – the City of Burnside, Campbelltown City Council, the City of Norwood, Payneham & St Peters, the Town of Walkerville and the City of Prospect.

 

EHA is seeking applications from a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and suitably qualified person to join our organisation.

An opportunity is available for a full-time Finance/Administration Officer to join our team.  We are seeking an experienced person who is able to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment by providing professional administrative and financial support duties.

 

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Administer all accounting functions including creditors, debtors, banks and cash plan
  • Enter daily bank statements
  • Payroll; including Single Touch Process and prepare payment for authorisation, email payslips each fortnight, update staff Timeflex reports
  • Petty Cash Management
  • Assist management in preparing for the annual financial audit
  • Data entry and spreadsheet management
  • Administrative support including maintaining Human Resources records
  • Documentation preparation for the CEO
  • IT support to organisation in conjunction with external consultants
  • Providing high quality customer service in person, by phone and email in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide back up for other administrative tasks

 

To be successful in this position you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous demonstrated experience in an Administrative or Financial support role 
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and ability to engage across multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent phone manner and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, and strong ability to work with numbers
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proven organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise work
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative to resolve problems in a positive and proactive manner 
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills, MYOB and Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Current DCSI Child Related Employment Screening
