Southern Paprika Limited (SPL) is a leading New Zealand capsicum grower located in Warkworth. We currently operate 27 hectares of glasshouse with plans for expansion. SPL supplies capsicum to large domestic and export markets. With our sister company Harbour Edge Avocados we are also packing and supplying avocados to the local market with plans to start exporting. Snack Cucumbers is also a new product we are growing for Countdown. 

We require a motivated team player to join our Finance team. You will assist with all areas of accounting from accounts receivable and payable to financial and management reporting.

You will oversee all accounting functions for our sister company Harbour edge Avocados and support our Finance Manager with accounting and project work for Southern Paprika Ltd. Tasks will include:

• Debtor & creditor administration.
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• Month end reporting.
• Board and business KPI reporting.
• IRD reporting and payments.
• Cashflow management & reconciliations.
• Assisting with audits.
• Purchasing.

Requirements:

• Recent graduate or part qualified and working towards an accounting qualification.
• Experience with accounting packages (we use Sage Accounting) and excellent Excel skills.
• Experience working within a finance team, ideally 2 plus years.
• Attention to detail and deadline driven.
