Finance & Business Support Administrator
City Energy, trading as City Firewood, produces, retails and distributes various forms of biomass energy and bi products (including bark and mulch). Our main focus and the reason why we are a household name in Canterbury however, is the production of high-quality kiln dried firewood. As the company positions itself for expansion, we need a dedicated professional to take over our accounts and payroll functions. Are you someone with an eye for detail who also enjoys financial analysis and troubleshooting so that value can be measured against business spend?
This new position will be responsible for:
Ideally, you will have completed a tertiary qualification within accounting and have 2+ years’ experience working in New Zealand. A proactive, adaptable and organised person will fit well into our team and while the business is flexible around the hours and days of work for this position, the Payroll & Accounting deadlines will need to be met. We are open minded about where you have worked and what your career aspirations are but together with proven experience successfully completing the above tasks you also need to be a confident user of IT software packages that include custom built and cloud-based software as well as Microsoft Office and Xero.
