Work as the second in charge to a talented CFO

• Hands on, all-encompassing managerial accounting role
• Work closely with a talented CFO. Directly supervise a team of 3 Accountants
• Northern Beaches location with on-site parking paying $140K - $150K + Super ($80 to $85/hr + Super)

This role would business partner with a fantastic Managing Director to work on the direction of the company and take on the day-to-day finance tasks for the business. The team here have the industry knowledge and are experts in their roles but need someone to really compliment this as a strong finance leader.

The Role

As the Finance Manager, reporting in to the CFO, you will be provided with direct access to the senior leadership team and drive the financial reporting, management accounting and analytical elements of the business.

More specifically you will be responsible for:

• The provision of high level analysis and commentary on revenue, expenditure and profitability across the business
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process
• Manage the cashflow, reporting and P&L analysis
• The preparation of tax related information and statutory accounting
• Team mentoring and development (3 direct reports)
• Managing the external audit process
• Lead on an array of projects to improve efficiencies

Your Background

To be considered for this Finance Manager role, you will need to have the following skills and attributes:

• Recently worked in a hands-on and broad finance role for a medium sized business and remain willing to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and lead by example
• Proven staff management experience
• Demonstrable experience in financial / management accounting and analysis
• Confidence and strength of communication skills to effectively liaise with multiple stakeholders
• Professionally qualified as an Accountant (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Able to work in the Northern Beaches of Sydney
• Have a notice period of less than 2 weeks
