The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) is the Australian Government agency responsible for supporting and investing in sport and comprises of Sport Australia and the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS).
From grassroots right up to the pinnacle of elite international competition, the ASC works together with the sport sector, other government partners, business and the wider community to champion the role sport can play in engaging every Australian regardless of age, race, gender, cultural background and physical ability.
The role is based in the Management Accounting team in a friendly and culturally diverse Finance Branch. The Finance branch's role is to drive strategic financial management across Sport Australia and foster the prudent management of financial risk.
To be successful, you will be a team player who can hit the ground running, have excellent accounting skills and have the ability to communicate with staff on a variety of levels, good written and verbal communication skills, be someone who is always looking to improve processes and not afraid to query current practices as well as the below additional capabilities:
Position is based in CANBERRA and will be available for 12 months with the possibility of extension.
This position requires the holder to be able to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance to Baseline.
Salary range = $108,243 - $127,726 per annum + up to 15.4% superannuation.
