The Role: Finance & Office Manager

Look, we all know Finance is more than just debits and credits. Really, it's the ability to make a difference. It's the starting point (planning) and the ending point (results) that drives a business forward and allows it to achieve its purpose. 

You need to love "getting things right" and take pride in everything you do, and possess a proactive approach to driving the numbers in the right direction. You'll be sitting down with the respective teams, setting goals and quarterly budgets, monitoring critical numbers, and reporting back through Xero.

The right person will love and look to utilise Xero integrations to streamline, innovate, and automate the process, so they can spend more time driving the business forward. 

Here is what a day in the life of a Finance & Office Manager at Dilate Digital looks like:

  • Accounts Receivable. You'll be invoicing our clients and running reports in order to contact our debtors in a timely manner.

  • Accounts Payable. This will include scrutinising supplier costs, recouping any disbursements with email/SMS/hosting.

  • ATO Lodgements. You need to ensure that the business lodges its obligations on time. This will include BAS & Superannuation, as well as Payroll Tax

  • Process Payroll.  You'll become everyone's best mate, by processing regular wages and taking care of leave accruals. 

  • Budgeting & Monitoring. Sitting down with directors to set financial goals, then monitor and report progress. 

  • Office Management. Includes replenishing stationary and team equipment. Taking care of office contracts and renewals, like lease and insurances. 

  • Client Onboarding. There will be times when you'll be assisting with the onboarding of new clients into the business. 

What you'll need to succeed in this role:

  • 3+ years in a similar role. 

  • Xero Certification.

  • Confidence to call debtors and see it as an opportunity to grow Dilate brand & live our values.

  • Ability to work to routines & deadlines.

  • Driven & Assertive.

  • Good computing skills & you will need to be able to move around various software packages.
