AGT Foods Australia is a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc, one of the largest lentil and pea splitting companies in the world. As a trusted source for value-added processing of pulses, and staple foods we purchase lentils, peas, beans and chickpeas from farmers around our facilities located in some of the best agricultural production regions in Canada, the United States, Turkey, Australia, China, India and South Africa and export product to over 100 countries around the globe.  Australia, has production facilities in Horsham, VIC; Bowmans, SA; and Narrabri, NSW, as well as storage facilities in Kadina, SA.  We primarily export container packing and exports of pulses, cereals and oilseeds globally.

Position:

This position will require an accounting or bookkeeping background, as you the majority of your dealings will
be AR, as well as supporting AP, GL and commissions. You will have the ability to demonstrate your sound
communication and interpersonal skills, be solutions focused with a can‐do disposition and the ability to
work well under pressure.

The successful candidate will:

• Embrace multi‐skilling and cross training to support your team
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of AR, AP and GL processes
• Process invoices through to preparation of payments
• Process sales invoices, debtors statements, commission and monitor outstanding payments
• Receipt and reconcile incoming payments
• Verify financial data and solve discrepancies.
• Assist with month‐end processes such as invoices, statements, supplier remittances and reporting.
• Provide administrative support to the group as or when required.

Skills & Abilities

• Minimum 5 years accounting/bookkeeping experience (preferred AP/AR/GL)
• Experience in the agricultural/grains industry will be highly regarded.
• Strong analytical thinker with sound numeracy and literacy skills
• Be solutions driven and willing to take the extra step to meet reporting deadlines,
• Ability to work autonomously but be part of a greater team,
• Sound computer skills, Word, Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Dynamics an advantage,
• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
