Reporting to the Senior Finance Coordinator, the Finance Officer will be responsible for processing Customer Billings and Supplier Invoices whilst working within the Finance Shared Service team across all divisions of Land, Air & Sea across Babcock Australia.

This is a 12months fixed term contract.

Key responsibilities are as follows:

• Ensure accounts payable invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner, bank statements are processed on a daily basis and ensure key supplier statements are reconciled on a monthly basis;
• Ensure accounts receivable invoices are processed with accurate supporting information in a timely manner
• Ensure AMEX payments are fully substantiated and appropriate credit limit management;
• Manage Petty Cash and Expense Claim reconciliations and procedures;
• Ensure business compliance to Company policy and procedures of internal controls;

About You

This role will align with an Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable accountant with a proven track record of delivery within a defence or a complex engineering environment. You will be a highly experienced professional that has excellent interpersonal skills and a strong financial system and process understanding. Additionally you will be a confident team player that has a passion for identifying opportunities, driving change and enjoys working within a team environment but can also work autonomously as required. You will have exceptional time management and organisational experience coupled with an ability to prioritise, plan and organise your work load and timeframes with a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will have high level ERP & computer skills and have a proven ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes quickly.
