Position: 

Finance Officer

Summary:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an agricultural business. A portfolio of 3 iconic merino sheep stations located in Central and Western Victoria with 6,000 ha of land and 60,000 merino sheep. 

This is a full-time Finance Officer role, working from our Melbourne head office, with occasional travels. We are looking for a team player, with positive “can-do” attitude, self-motivated and adaptable to changes. Melbourne head office team is a small, fast-paced team, with great potentials to a foreseeable long-term career path, along with the expansion of the business. We support and treasure our team and culture to ensure we have the right approach, attitudes and capabilities to support the broad business. 

The job role will include, but not limited to: 

• Own Accounts Payable Process and Bank Reconciliation
• Assist with Accounts Receivable Process
• Liaise with farms for required information
• Assist with reporting and analysis requirements

About You:

• Proven experience in a similar role
• Tertiary degree qualified in accounting or related area
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, both verbally and written
• Experience working with ATO, top tier accounting firms, bank relationship 
• Experience in accounting software – Xero experience is advantageous
• Experience in agriculture is preferred
• Good interpersonal and communication skills 
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability
