Your New Team

Your new leader is one of very few who is open to feedback regularly. He doesn’t shy away from criticism, he takes it on board and improves as a result. You’ll be surrounded by 3 qualified accountants, an accounts payable clerk and a payroll officer. For the size of the business, this is a perfect size to allow for reasonable work hour expectations and it allows for brilliant levels of flexibility.

 

Your New Role

Based in the inner northern suburbs of Brisbane and reporting to the Financial Controller you will support the finance team in numerous ways. Your key deliverables will include:

  • Accounts Receivable including the collation of invoices, data entry, monthly reconciliations
  • Credit Card reconciliations
  • Administer Petty Cash
  • Bank reconciliations monthly
  • Manage the collection process in line with agreed customer trading terms
  • Assist with the development of systems, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines

 

You can see this role is broad and varied and will offer you the opportunity to increase your current skillset. It’s a team orientated role requiring you to be supportive and helpful.

 

Your Experience

First and foremost, you need to be someone who is supportive and open to taking direction. You have a solution orientated mind. Your attitude towards teamwork needs to be extremely positive. An understanding and appreciation for working together and the benefits of collaboration will see you succeed in this role. Specifically, your experience should have covered:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • Recent accounts receivable experience  
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
