Finance Officer - Part time permanent

Based in St Kilda, our client is a leading construction business with national operations. A fast paced and dynamic business, they continue to grow and are currently enjoying strong financial performance. This vacancy has arisen due to expansion and will provide the right candidate with a exceptional opportunity to progress within the business.

Reporting to the Company Accountant this role will see you:

• Accounts Payable involving weekly payment and sub contractor runs
• Process timely external payments
• Client money accounts
• Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts
• Month end journal posting
• Support with Accounts Receivable
• Bank reconciliations
• Responsible for daily bank reconciliation and banking
• general ledger maintenance
• support the Accountants with month-end close.

Key requirements;

• 2 - 3 years experience in a similar role
• Intermediate - advanced excel skills
• Experience using an ERP system
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting desired
• Experience working in professional services

This role will see you liaising with the internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis, therefore candidates will have strong interpersonal skills and a confident communication style. You will be responsible for assisting with month end processes and transactional accounting duties.
