We have a full-time permanent position based in Blackburn for a Finance Process Improvement Officer to assist driving continuous improvement across the Finance team through the development and maintenance of Finance policy, process and systems.

Reporting to the Finance Governance and Compliance Manager, you will assist in simplifying and strengthening Finance governance control mechanisms, ensuring compliance and supporting the shift towards sustainability.

The key focus of the role will be to:

• Consult with relevant stakeholders to identify new resources and systems;
• Collaborate with document and process owners to critique current policy, processes and systems;
• Assist in identifying, evaluating, prioritizing and implementing changes to address issues and/or problems;
• Review and respond to proposals, feedback and queries from internal stakeholders;
• Develop new or execute changes to policy, processes and systems;
• Effectively engage and communicate, co-ordinate and execute implementation with stakeholders;
• Assist in evaluating the success of changes;
• Facilitate effective business process management systems which ensures all Finance content and documentation is regularly review and remains current;
• Initiate projects and manage a program of ongoing continuous improvement within Finance;
• Use project management methodologies to regularly report on the status of projects;
• Assist finance to work towards a culture of continuous improvement.

Our ideal candidate will be an independent self-starter and have previous experience in a relevant field such as Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Support along with proven project management experience.
