Airwork Fixed Wing Division is part of the Airwork Group of Companies.

Fixed Wing Division own and operates a fleet of Boeing 737 freighter aircraft throughout Australia and New Zealand as well as providing MRO services to some of the major airlines in Australasia.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with the right attitude who wants to be part of our flexible and friendly Finance team.

Lets talk about the role and what will you be doing?

• Building strong relationships with the Finance Team and key stakeholders
• Assist with customer invoicing
• Administration of journals
• Inter-company reconciliations
• Forex management and reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Income tax journals
• Depreciation calculations and allocations
• Financial reporting
• Budgeting and forecasting support
• Support the Snr Finance BP with half year and year-end audits.
• As well as providing back up support to the payroll function.

Now let's talk about you.  You will need

• Previous experience as a Financial Accountant and a solid understanding of legislation regarding tax, super, GST etc
• Ability to work with confidential information and to exercise the highest degree of discretion
• A can do attitude, with the ability to take initiative and a strong work ethic and strong accountability
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across various functional teams
• To be able to work autonomously as well as in team
• An exceptional ability to work within deadline driven, time constrained and ad hoc situations (especially around end of month)
• Advanced computer skills with proven experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and general ledger systems
• Exceptional analytical, reporting and as well as an ability to interpret financial and operational information
• Experience in a complex organisation working with multiple currencies.
• Oral and written English to a very high standard.

Qualifications are a must

• Tertiary or professional qualification in accounting, finance or similar
• Preferably completed or soon to complete your CA or CPA..
