Based in our Store Support Office in Castle Hill, this role covers all aspects of processing, analyzing and reporting of financial transactions and information whilst assisting with budgeting processes and preparing various management reporting on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
- Following appropriate accounting processes and procedures, keeping mind both efficiency and internal control considerations and ensuring these are followed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Completing month-end closing activities, including but not limited to: Intercompany reconciliation; accrual entries, general ledger maintenance, fixed assets managing, bank reconciliation; income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement preparation; sales analysis; expenses analysis.
- Completing preparation and submission of statutory returns as required.
- Managing inventory systems in conjunction with the customer service and warehouse team to ensure the business unit has efficient systems in place, including, monthly and half yearly stock take analysis.
- Assisting with activities of internal and external auditors, fulfilling auditor requests for documentation and explanations, in a complete, accurate and timely fashion
- Partnering with and providing support to the Store/Operations managers with relevant queries/requests on operational/financial matters.
Relevant Experience:
- At least 2 years experience in a similar position
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Commerce
- CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion
- Sound understanding of Australian financial reporting standards (AASB) and IFRS.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, collaborative approach and relationship building skills at all levels
- Proficient user of MS word, excel and power point.
