WorkSafe New Zealand | Mahi Haumaru Aotearoa has an opportunity for an accountant with a positive work ethic to support the wider finance team in working with both internal and external stakeholders. You‘ll have the opportunity to be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of efficient financial systems and processes as well as:

• Work closely with the Team Leader Financial Services to ensure quality and consistency of advice and practice
• Perform month-end activities such as accruals, reconciliations and reporting
• Manage effective relationships with key stakeholders including branch and business group senior managers
• Prepare tax returns including GST, FBT and Withholding tax

Ideally you will also have:

• Minimum of 3 years' accounting experience
• Excellent communication, facilitation, influencing and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding time management skills
• Experience undertaking financial analysis and providing advice to management
• Knowledge and experience with Technology One

You must hold a tertiary qualification in Business or Accounting. A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand (CAANZ) or a recognised international equivalent is required.
