Chandler Macleod, in collaboration with Santos, is currently seeking office and field-based professionals for contract opportunities across Australia.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager - Onshore, this newly created position sits within a team of commercially minded Finance Analysts, who partner with Santos' production operations on cost and reporting related matters. Specifically, this role will include:

• Producing and reviewing monthly reporting packs for/with key stakeholders
• Providing key stakeholders with analysis, insight and commentary in relation to business performance, including performance against targets and trends, key business drivers and performance metrics
• Preparing budgets, quarterly forecasts, and latest estimates for areas supported
• Performing month-end accounting including preparation and review of journals for posting by Financial Services, review of results and completion of appropriate integrity checks prior to ledger close
• Providing support to responses to audit queries
• Contributing to half-year and year-end reporting requirements to Group Finance
• Supporting projects focused on improvement to decision making processes and systems
• Providing ad-hoc analysis to support decision making as required

Your key skills and experience includes:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required) with CA/CPA (desired)
• Significant experience in corporate accounting or financial accounting, ideally within oil and gas, mining, manufacturing or similar
• Strong computer literacy within ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred)
• Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
