The Company

The Role

The role has a broad scope from general ledger accounting, payroll and the administration of the back office trading function. This includes daily market reports and trade execution reporting. The role requires or would suit someone with experience in Funds Management Accounting, trades, reconciliation and experience in trading platforms. 

The role will require an individual with a range of skills and experience.  An excellent opportunity awaits to be exposed to a well rounded role in all areas of the business.

Your main duty will be to support the CEO and CIO with all accounting related to the Funds under management, duties including month end reporting, reconciliations, analysis, assisting with monthly reports, any other adhoc duties. 

You will have a proven track record of dealing with multiple stakeholders across different levels, business acumen, strong attention to detail and superior communication skills.  You will also have the opportunity to contribute as a member of the broader team..

Reporting to the CEO, COO and CIO your key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Maintain and verify the financial reports of the company, including analytical analysis;
  • Daily Market position reports
  • High visibility in the end of month process.
  • Cash management processes including reconciliations of the bank accounts, and other accounts;
  • Prepare monthly payroll & commissions (knowledge of staff entitlements);
  • Process of customer refunds;
  • pro-actively support the CEO, COO & CIO, assisting to deliver process improvements;

Requirements & Qualification for role

  • MYOB Experience preferred;
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Professional
  • Degree Qualified, with CA/CPA Qualification or looking to complete either;
  • Good verbal and written communication / interpersonal skills;
  • Strong work ethics;
  • problem solver who can think "outside box"
  • Strong spreadsheet skills; Advanced Excel (eg Pivot, VLOOKUP etc)
  • Ability to solve problems and work to deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Interest and or understanding of the financial markets
  • self-starter
  • Proactive approach and a learning mentality

The successful candidate will be compliant, diligent and have excellent attention to detail - we also want a team player who can hit the ground running, therefore recent experience in a similar role is ideal.
