The Job: Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing all internal and external financial and accounting matters, providing commercial expertise, insight, and continued improvement. Managing a small team, you will ensure planning and budgeting processes, financial systems, and internal controls are developed to enhance timely reporting and performance, whilst also minimising risk. Your analysis and insights will enable timely, strategic and critical decision making. Your experience in developing and automating reports, preparing management reports and Board packs, and implementing new systems will be critical.
Your skills: To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A successful track record in a similar Financial Controller position, preferably in the retail, consumer goods, or e-commerce industries
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, CA or CPA qualifications are essential
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of accounting processes and best practice FP&A
- Advanced excel skills are a must, and experience in Netsuite, Hyperion and/or other ERP systems would be advantageous.
- Advanced reporting and financial modelling skills
- A highly analytical mindset with attention to detail, accuracy and quality focus
- Sound strategic thinking with a pro-active ability to innovate and identify opportunities
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder/business partnership skills
- Adaptable, flexible and able to manage a fast-paced work environment in a rapid state of change
