The Role

The Financial Controller will oversee the Finance Team on a variety of accounting activities, including processing, reconciliation, and financial model maintenance.  The role will involve working across multiple business units including property maintenance solutions, investment entities and aviation interests.

This position is based at Tullamarine and travel to other sites may be required. The Little Group also offers a number of flexible working options. 

Responsibilities

  • Act as a business partner to key stakeholders including developing and/or recommending solutions for key problems or situations
  • Responsible for implementation of controls and policies for new business ventures and ensuring all controls and policies in place and maintained
  • Deliver all Board, financial, management and statutory reporting
  • Overall responsibility for the month end reporting
  • Review of financial and legal documents to assess adherence to internal guidelines and assist with business with risk minimisation
  • Budgeting/forecasting and cash flow management including capital analysis, monitoring of returns and project updates
  • Improving efficiencies across the business and recognising opportunities for improvements including process and procedures and as necessary policy documentation
  • Manage the day to day running of the finance team function including management of finance team.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a financial management position
  • Proven strategic planning experience at the management level
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to multi-task many different projects at any one time whilst working to strict deadlines to meet the desired end results for the business
  • Relevant qualification in the field of Finance, Economics or Accounting
  • Business Services experience with an Accounting Firm preferred
  • CA/CPA qualified essential
