Due to ongoing growth, we have a challenging, yet rewarding opportunity available at our Head Office based in Yennora for a well experienced Financial Controller.
The Opportunity:
This role requires hands on capability to prepare, interpret and analyse financial information to assist management in decision making. In addition, you will be required to assist in managing the Accounts team and ensuring the department is operating smoothly
Reporting to the Managing Director, your key accountabilities will include:
- Preparing, reviewing journals and monthly balance sheet reconciliations and timely completion of month-end processes
- Identifying and improving processes, ensuring that appropriate controls are in place ensure integrity and accuracy of the book.
- Timely and accurate monthly reporting and analysis of financial position plus preparation of Board packs; discuss results with Managing Director and recommend any action
- Prepare and/or supervise the monthly reconciliation of all general ledger account balances
- Preparation and supervision of year end accounting requirements including preparation of various schedules for depreciation, tax and balance sheet classification
- Work closely with CCO on matters pertaining to the management of the group’s cash flow

A little about you!
To secure this role, you'll:
- 5+ years’ experience in a Financial Controller capacity
- CPA or CA qualified accountant
- Sound experience with Statutory returns such as BAS, IAS, FBT, Payroll Tax and Workers Compensation
- Manufacturing or FMCG background preferable.
- Experience with submissions for Government Grants will be highly regarded
- Experience with integrated ERP systems
- Experience or knowledge of US taxation would be advantageous
- Be well presented, of good character, positive and customer focused
- Excellent communication skills –verbal, written and electronic
- Reliable, trustworthy, flexible and professional.
- The ability to work quickly and accurately in order to meet deadlines.
- A flair for thinking outside the square and self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills, with the ability to focus on tasks at hand
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and manage relationships
- Resilient
- High degree of professionalism and judgement with the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
