To continue our success, we currently have an exciting permanent full time opportunity to join the Business Analyst team within Pernod Ricard Winemakers as a Financial Planning Analyst, based in Barangaroo. 

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is commercially focused and is responsible for delivering business financial targets and working closely with the Sales team to forecast future performance, presenting on variances to plan to the Leadership team (including the Commercial Managing Director Pacific) – you will:

• Lead Financial Planning by delivering realistic and accurate budget financials
• Support performance improvement via development of financially robust strategies and insights 
• Provide monthly ongoing financial forecasting including recommendations to reduce risk and leverage opportunities
• Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations to understand and communicate potential performance gaps
• Provide Management with Insight on Financial Performance

About You

Your curiosity coupled with commercial nous and previous experience in accounting / finance will see you successfully partner with the sales and wider finance team to provide true business value. Your desire to understand your stakeholders and their clients will ensure you action reporting responsibilities and best leverage opportunities and manage risk to improve performance.

Ideally you will have:

• 5+ years commercial finance experience (FMCG/liquor advantageous)
• Tertiary qualification in Commerce / Accounting or related
• Advanced excel / modelling skills
• Previous experience of leading financial planning processes
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively with time bound tasks
• Highly organised and able to meet tight deadlines
• An inquisitive nature to draw and present valuable insights 
• Sense of humour and convivial approach
• Experience using Promax, Enterprise One ERP system, Cognos, Power BI (desirable).

Salary Range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000
