Well established as an industry leader this organisation has been on a significant growth trajectory for the last 15 years. They are now poised to potentially double in size again in the next 5 years. Whilst leadership has been focusing on a change and improvement mandate through a strong and collaborative management style, the strategic plan now calls for increased efficiencies, processing and reporting effectiveness. This will require someone to lead a team and inspire change and improvement from within whilst taking advantage of technology.

Reporting to a COO you will lead a staff of 15 in all aspects of financial reporting and compliance and ensure appropriate controls are in place. You will deliver to executive management the information, and insight for decision making based on facts in a changing and highly regulated environment.  Transactional costs need to drop, dashboards and management information needs to be supplied with an increased focus on what is required for effective real time decision making. Compliance needs to be seamless and effortless.  You will be the key face of the finance team interacting with a range of stakeholders across the executive and management team. 

You will have experience in management and financial accounting roles and experience in leading and developing teams. You will have leveraged the use of technology to effectively reduce transaction cost and create scaling potential. Ideally you will have experience in some sort of human services environment where the health and well-being of the customers is a vital component of service delivery.  You will be hands on enough to help and support but not lose sight of the strategic goals that need to be attained to support the organisations growth. This can be a career step towards executive management/leadership OR a role that will give you enormous job satisfaction by leading and developing people to create an ongoing improvement focus.
