About our Graduate Opportunity
Starting your career with our firm, you will join a business advisory team that is collaborative, forwarding thinking and supportive, with a true team approach to work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare standard financial statements
- Prepare tax returns for all entities
- Prepare tax effect accounting journal entries for large entities
- Prepare Business and Instalment Activity Statements
- Quarterly and annual tax compliance matters
- Draft correspondence to clients
- Involvement with tax planning for clients
- Workpaper preparation for your Manager to review
- Researching and assisting with the preparation of tax advice
- Reconciling accounting files (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks etc.)
- Liaising with the ATO
- General business administration
What you will need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business or Commerce (majoring in Accounting/ Finance)
- Strong commitment to quality service and client relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate analytical/problem solving ability;
- Ability to multitask and effectively manage your work flow;
- Self-starter with accountability for both your personal and professional development
- Commitment to supporting your team
- Excellent attention to detail
- A proactive approach with a learning orientation
- Demonstrated experience using the Microsoft Office suite
