Graduate Accountant

dorsaVi is a small ASX listed company who specialise in developing wearable sensor technology and software for use in occupational health and safety, sports and clinical settings. The innovative technology enables human movement and position to be accurately captured, quantified and assessed in both real-time and real situations.

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, graduate accountant in the early stages of their career to join our small finance team on a full-time basis, commencing immediately.  You will have a broad remit of financial management and transaction processing tasks, working to our Finance Manager.

This 'hands on sleeves rolled up role',  with responsibility for the following processes and tasks:

  • Accounts Receivable and Debtor management
  • Accounts Payable
  • Payroll (including the maintenance of employee information and STP, PAYG, WorkCover and Superannuation calculations)
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Journal entry, general ledger control and account reconciliations
  • Providing support to the Finance Managers on management reporting and statutory reporting matters
  • BAS and GST reporting submissions
  • General Finance administration duties

Selection Criteria:

  • Formal qualifications (Degree) in Finance / Accounting
  • Some previous experience in accounting operations role preferred
  • Some previous hands on experience with Accounting software systems preferred
  • Intermediate to Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well organized with strong priority management skills
  • Reliable and delivery orientated. Committed to the timely delivery of tasks.
  • Proactive and solution orientated. Able and willing to seek opportunities to continually improve processes.
