Internal Audit is a core area within our organisation where we provide specialist internal audit and consulting services to a variety of entities including compliance, operational and performance audits. IT Audit is a niche area within the business and provides independent audit assurance over IT related processes and functions. The Role We have seen sustained growth in the area of Internal Audit and are currently seeking a new Internal Audit Graduate for our practice. This role reports to the Manager Internal Audit and Risk Consulting for internal audit work. There is also the opportunity to assist the Principal of the area with IT audits. The role is a dedicated Graduate Internal Audit position. Duties include exposure to all key stages for delivery of internal audit services, including planning, ongoing liaison, fieldwork, documentation requirements, reporting, communicating results to clients and final closure. The work conducted will be a mainly WA state and local government clients. There is also the opportunity to perform work in other locations as required. Our Requirements You will ideally have a degree in Accounting that satisfies the membership requirements of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or CPA Australia. A major in Accounting with a minor in Information Systems or other computing related field would be useful. Any prior exposure to internal audit or other audit activities would be highly regarded. Any part-time work experience in an accounting related area would also be well regarded. You will be required to progress towards achieving a Chartered Accountant designation. Other potential qualifications that can be achieved at a later stage include Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Information Systems Auditor. We require strong written and verbal communication skills and analytical ability for complex problems. You need to at least be a PR holder and may require citizenship as part of security checking for some clients. You must be able to travel both within WA and interstate when required for short periods of time. A C class driver’s license will be useful when travelling. You will also be required to obtain a National Police Clearance for some of our clients.
