Reporting into the CFO and working with the ANZ Regional Director, this is a position responsible for the day to day management of the finance team in this widely recognised world class business. Utilising your knowledge in financial and people leadership skills, you will ensure a focus on maintaining efficient financial function and controls, providing oversight and leadership to the NZ finance team as well as Regional Finance teams.


This is a 12 month contract position based in Dunedin within a company that has experienced significant transformation. You will be working as a true partner to the organisation, adding value to all departments. You could be someone currently more hands on with a knowledge of the design and build sector who has strong technical competence in finance functions including transformation and project delivery.


Duties include:

• Ensuring production of accurate and timely group financial statements and monthly management reporting pack
• Ensure compliance obligations are met whilst overseeing the budgeting and forecasting process for the group
• Business partnering to provide robust analysis and support across a number of areas
• Management, and mentoring of employees within the finance department.
• Commencement of a key financial integration project

Requirements:

• CA or equivalent qualified, suited to a strong Big 4 or upper mid-tier base combined with several years within a complex commercial environment
• Experience working at Group Financial Controller or CFO level
• Evidence of excellent leadership skills with ability to bring diversity of thought and experience to the team
• Effective business partner skills with ability to build strong cross functional relationships
• Comfortable with change and proactive in identifying process improvement opportunities
