My Client has engaged Michael Page to recruit for a Group Reporting & Tax Manager. The individual will manage both the group financial statutory accounts and tax obligations for the business. Being a multinational business with overseas subsidiaries, the successful candidate will have had exposure to a listed organisation and producing consolidated accounts.

Description

The Group Reporting & Tax Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Take control of the statutory financial reporting across the group
  • Continuously looking at ways and methods to improve processes and procedures
  • Manage the end-to-end preparation of the consolidated Financial Statements and manage the Accounting position papers for subsidiaries adhering to Accounting guidelines & requirements
  • Be accountable for and on top of technical accounting
  • Manage impacts of corporate transactions including business combinations, asset sales, agreements, tax structuring, debt & intercompany arrangements
  • Manage tax provision calculations
  • Indirect & direct taxation
  • Oversee and manage corporate tax structure
  • Ad hoc duties & analysis as required by the Head of Finance

Profile

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • CA/CPA/CIMA
  • Strong communicator
  • Innovative & proactive
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a listed environment is essential
  • Tax and/or Financial Reporting background
  • Big-4/Mid-tier experience highly regarded
  • Immediately available

Job Offer

Being a newly created role, the successful candidate can really make the role their own & this role has the opportunity to develop with time. Whilst the role will begin as a 6-month Fixed Term Contract, there is a strong likelihood that this role will transition to permanent during the contract. With strong growth predicted, there is potential for there to be newly created positions at an entry level that will report into this role.
