About the Virtual Centre of Excellence 

As we continue to grow and develop our service offering, we have recently created a new division that will deliver both Audit and Accounting work to clients and act as Findex’s Virtual Centre of Excellence across these divisions. 

The Virtual Centre of Excellence is a stand-alone team that supports our core Audit and Accounting teams, providing a centralised capacity support capability, and also delivering higher value, complex and ad hoc work for clients.  As the name suggests, this is a high performing team recognised for its expertise, flexibility and ability to consistently deliver high quality work for clients. 

The Virtual Centre of Excellence team operates remotely and as such we are open to individuals based in any location in Australia or New Zealand.

As the Head of the Virtual Centre of Excellence, you will be responsible for driving the performance of our multiskilled excellence teams and planning, and delivering on seasonal surge resourcing for our business units through contingent, casual and outsourced working arrangements in line with capacity forecasting requirements. 

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Planning and effectively communicating the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan  
  • Managing a significant operational area for the organisation supporting both our Accounting and Audit divisions with their workload and capacity requirements  
  • Managing a virtual function of the business including managing and reporting on performance and achieving annual business objectives.  
  • Managing budget plans for the function  
  • Acting as a business partner to key internal stakeholders with the ability to build strong working relationships 
  • Managing the development, performance and progression of the function 
  • Initiating, formulating and implementing new business practices within a specific discipline while managing the development and/or delivery of a significant element of the organization's change management program.  

 

About you 

The successful candidate will have demonstrated previous experience in planning, managing and organising resources within short to medium timescales within the overall policy framework. Both Accounting & Tax, and Audit experience is preferable as well as University / Post Graduate (Masters Degree) required.
