Information & Retail Assistant

  • 1 part time permanent position available 17.5 hours/week - will include weekend, school holidays & public holiday hours
  • Located in Fitzroy Falls
  • Package includes salary ($64,973.00- $70,636.00), employer's contribution to superannuation and 17% loading for working weekends and public holidays.

 

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to be the face of National Parks and Wildlife Service assisting visitors.  You will need to have excellent knowledge of the local area and a passion for National Parks.  In this role you will be greeting visitors and providing information on all aspects of national parks, as well as working in the retail shop.  Superior communication skills coupled with excellent customer service and computer skills, including daily reconciliations, are essential to your success in the role.  You will be required to think on your feet and make informed decisions.  A knowledge of processing payments and banking would be an asset in the position. 

 

Essential requirements of the role

  • Current Working with Children check.
  • Experience in a retail environment including dealing with customer enquiries in a reception or frontline service area, cash handling procedures and using digital booking software.
  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends and public holidays if required.
  • A current Australian drivers licence and first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
