Interim Divisional CFO
The Opportunity
  
We're currently working in partnership with a high growth and well regarded Insurer to hire a Divisional CFO for a parental leave contract. 
The successful candidate will work as part of the executive team reporting directly into the Divisional CEO with responsibility for a high performing finance team. 
This is a really exciting opportunity for someone to join a market leading Insurer in a divisional leadership role taking responsibility for a division with a turn over of $200M + 

The Company;

Our client is a leading General Insurer with a great track record of developing staff, providing a positive and supportive environment and successful year on year growth. 

The Role;

As CFO you will have the following key responsibilities:
  • Strategic leadership (act as 2ic to CEO, work as part of close knit executive team)
  • Strong Financial Management of the organisation including financial, regulatory and management reporting
  • Project management (Systems implementations etc)
  • Asset Management
Board support including:
  • Provide assistance to the CEO and Chair of the Board on company's matters
  • Participate in the Finance and Risk Committee meetings
  • Participate in Board Meeting
Key Projects;
  • ERP System upgrade
  • Finance process improvement projects
  • IFRS 17
The Success Profile

The successful CFO will have the following skills and experience:
  • Strong background in a finance leadership roles within Insurance is a must
  • CA/CPA or equivalent
  • Extensive experience with commercial Accounting and financial analysis and reporting
  • Demonstrated executive management experience.
  • Leaderships skills and proven record of being able to manage and motivate direct reports and a broad range of stakeholders
  • Proven record of being able to work under pressure, quickly prioritise workload and anticipate the changing needs of the business.
  • Experience working in a divisional role as the most senior person in Finance. Prior CFO experience is not essential
  • Proven track record of managing a circa $200mil business
  • Experience with finance projects
