What you'll be doing This position is a key finance and business partner for the District. It works within the policy and procedural framework of the ISLHD to drive and improve the financial performance of the District, as the primary finance and business partner to the District Executive and Corporate teams. Interaction with clinical and other managers across the District is an essential part of this position. It is also responsible for providing leadership, direction and support to corporate services within the District.

Selection Criteria

1. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Economics or related discipline or other relevant experience. Membership of a relevant Professional Association.
2. Significant experience, preferably within the Health Sector, in Senior Finance roles.
3. Demonstrated experience in communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills at both a senior level and across all levels of the organisation.
4. Demonstrated experience in conducting complex financial analysis using a variety of analytical techniques.
5. Demonstrated high level leadership, strategic development and management skills to enable a clear and defined outcome focus to meet required deadlines and approved resource allocation.
6. Demonstrated prior experience in working in an Activity Based Management or costing environment is desired.
