We are currently working on a great opportunity for a Junior Accountant (Supply Chain) to join our Finance team based in Botany. Reporting into the Senior Supply Chain Analyst, you will be primarily responsible for the financial management and business partnering with cross-functional teams such as Procurement and Logistics. You will actively influence the day to day decisions, strategy and direction of the business, whilst managing the accounting function for the area to ensure true reflection of financial performance. Your role has a significant impact on the financial decision making within the Kellogg’s Australian Supply Chain Operations.

  Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all month-end journals are posted accurately on time and on the specified date
  • Ensure accurate coding of the samples and donations and complete FG deletion and SSL workings
  • Assist with the completion of the cost of production report, completion of all balance sheet reconciliations
  • Weekly PPV report prepared and communicated weekly
  • Complete and circulate the monthly PPV report every month with detailed analysis of variances noted
  • Completion savings tracking and prepare and circulate overhead reports with analysis and explanation
  • Assist with preparation of the monthly logistics analysis
  • Completion of the ZBB savings tracking
  • Input budgets into SAP and Anaplan
  • Assist with the formulation of the annual plant, logistics and procurement budgets
  • Assist with the rolling forecasting process
  • Prepare all documents for the S404 quarterly audit
  • Ensure timesheets are posted on time
  • Depreciation simulation
  • All fixed asset administration
  • Assist with internal and external audits

Skills, experience & attributes sought:

  • An accounting degree or a business related degree concentration in accounting
  • Relevant 1+ year of accounting experience is essential
  • Experience in manufacturing accounting including product costing is advantageous. 
  • Strong analytical and communication skills are required. A strong working knowledge of ERP systems is desirable, (SAP FICO, MM knowledge is desirable.).
  • Strong PC skills including advanced excel skills.
