About the role:

 

Due to continued growth and business expansion we have an increasing demand for financial analysis, insight and commercial support for our Trents Wholesale business. This has led to the creation of a new Management Accountant position to join our high performing Commercial Finance team.

 

While this position sits within the Commercial Finance team, the role will offer direct commercial and financial support to our Head of Trents Wholesale. Trents is the wholesale arm of Foodstuffs South Island Limited, supporting the foodservice and hospitality industries.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

 

• Prepare and support commercial reviews of monthly and annual performance to provide senior managers with insight into results and trends.
• Support the development and maintenance of management and operational reporting within Trents Wholesale to aid decision making.
• Identify and support process improvement projects within Trents Wholesale, with the aim of continuous improvement.
• Provide financial support and analysis for pricing and customer profitability
• Support and preparation of the forecasting and budgeting process for Trents Wholesale.
• Provide support to Trents Wholesale projects and business cases.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following experience and attributes:

 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve financial and operational issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of staff in a clear and concise manner.
• Advanced Excel and modelling skills.
• Personable with excellent relationship skills.
• The ability to turn data into insights.
• University qualification in Accounting, or equivalent type qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years Finance experience
• Desirable, but not essential, exposure to FMCG businesses, and experience in SAP.
