The opportunity

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance & Business Services Division. This is an exciting opportunity suited to candidate looking to further progress in and gain exposure to management accounting.

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the production of management reporting, monthly financial reporting and contribute to RWWA’s forecast, budget and strategic processes. You will assist in providing financial data and insights, critical for the financial success of RWWA.   

You will also be responsible for: 

• Delivering exceptional service to our internal customers, proactively working together to manage expense budgets, identifying opportunities for savings and provide recommendations for improvements 
• Assisting with frequent ad-hoc reporting and analysis  
• Ensuring any excesses are appropriately approved in accordance with Company policy 
• Working collaboratively with the Financial Reporting team to ensure accuracy of the P&L and balance sheet accounts 
• Creating forecast adjustments and journals as a part of the monthly review process

About you

Ideally to be successful in this role you will need: 

• Experience in management accounting or relevant finance roles 
• Demonstrated experience or exposure to forecasting and budgeting 
• Excellent communication skills including written and verbal presentation of financial information analysis  
• Ability to think analytically and present findings, with demonstrated experience or exposure to delivering commercial insights to a business 
• Ability to assess and manage risk, whist maintaining a commercial focus  
• Working knowledge of accounting standards, with an intent to work towards a recognised accounting qualification 
• Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team 
• Strong attention to detail, with an ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deliver to meet deadlines 
• Capability in utilising accounting systems, and Microsoft 365 suite, especially Technology One and Excel
