The Management Accountant, will support the business by driving P&L reporting and analysis, operational business partnering, dashboards, trend analysis and other reporting and analysis as required.  This role will be varied and will also include general finance duties including fixed assets, general ledger reconciliations, end of month journals and adjustments, database management and adhoc tasks as required by the finance team. 

To be successful in this role you must be commercially minded, self-motivated, and a results driven team player who has a passion for hands-on work. You will have previous experience with accounting practices, along with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the role entails full management of the accounting function including but not limited to the following:

  • Accurate and timely month end reporting, statutory reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Analysing, reporting, providing financial insights and driving outcomes for various business initiatives.
  • Monthly cash-flow forecasting and analysis
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet
  • Preparing IAS, GST / BAS.
  • Internal and external stakeholder management with a focus on client satisfaction.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

The ability to look beneath the numbers, along with effective interpersonal skills, excellent customer service, and a can-do attitude will be critical to your success in this role. A positive outlook and a genuine desire to make a difference is a must.

Together with the above requirements you will have the ability to multi-task, be able to demonstrate initiative and have the ability to problem solve and be a quick thinker under pressure. 

Other key success factors are:

  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting / Finance
  • CA or CPA (desirable)
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Suite with advanced Excel skills (power BI desirable)
  • Strong and confident communication skills with all stakeholders (written and verbal)
