Our client is looking for a candidate with a commerce degree (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' experience in an accounting and finance environment. They are looking for someone who will grow and develop over time in this role and is keen to contribute to the rapid growth of this business and associated companies. You must have the drive and ambition to come in and make a difference. 

The purpose of this position is to manage the day to day and monthly accounting processes relating to stock entry, reconciliations, and cost. From here you will build experience and knowledge to assist in building the month end accounts and reconciliations. You will aid in the tax compliance practices of the entities in the group. You will be jointly responsible for paying foreign currency suppliers. 

Key Responsibilities Include: 

Stock and Costs
  • Build Bill of materials templates on demand for new products.
  • Create Bill of materials in ERP system (Sage) through creation and combination of new items and building recipes. Utilising toolbox knowledge of ingredients, packaging, Excise and Foreign currency.
  • Entry of foreign currency denominated invoiced stock at exact rates in an efficient manner
  • Process manufactured products with the various steps into stock on demand.
  • Completely take ownership and accountability for the monthly stock reconciliation.
Management Accounting
  • Prepare weekly foreign currency batch payments to suppliers.
  • Assist with checking entries for monthly GST returns.
  • Assist in preparation for Monthly, Quarterly, annual accounts and reconciliations.
  • Work in Company BI reports to improve and assist sales force with valuable insights, particularly in the cost to serve area.
Key Skills/ Requirements:
  • Strong Excel skills and solid understanding of accounting systems
  • An accounting-related degree. Desire to study CA/ you may have already started your CA studies.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A hard-worker that is keen to learn, develop and make a difference to the business.
  • Must be an energetic, sociable, personable individual to fit in with the company culture.
