About the role Assisting the Partners in the division, this role is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the team are running smoothly with a strong focus on client delivery and people leadership. This position provides support to develop capability among team members, including delegating and reviewing their work, as well as helping to train, mentor and monitor their performance and productivity. Based in our Gold Coast office, you will work collaboratively with a number of highly experienced advisors and support a number of highly regarded Partners. You will have the support and infrastructure of a high performing team to allow you to focus on helping your clients achieve their dreams and goals. The focus of this role provides business advisory and accounting advice to a sustainable and profitable portfolio of clients. Responsibilities include: Oversee and review compliance documents, complex special purpose financial statements, annual financial statements, tax returns and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, trusts and a range of individual businesses Assist in the preparation of management reporting and analysis for larger clients, working with them to interpret the data Hands on assistance with Cloud packages including MYOB, Xero and QBO, setting up ledgers, assisting with add-ons, and general trouble shooting to ensure that data is clean and meaningful Achieve budgeted chargeable hours, fee targets and profitability of the work for themselves and their team Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge to ensure compliance with all statutory and relevant regulatory requirements Manage, coordinate and delegate client work to team members with an appropriate level of capability to ensure team targets are met Manage the development, performance and progression of your direct reports You will continue to service existing client relationships and drive retention by empowering team members to deliver exceptional performance and ensuring jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines, within budget. About you The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership experience, possess strong technical abilities, be proactive and deadline-focused, and will become an integral part of our close-knit team. This is a great career opportunity for a CA qualified Business Services Manager with at least 3+ years of relevant experience that enjoys leading and driving a high-performance team. You will need to be an energetic and motivated individual who displays initiative and a flexible and positive attitude. The successful candidate will have: The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients Ownership qualities and the ability to successfully manage workflow and their direct reports Proactive attitude, self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment. Experience in a broad range of tax, accounting and business matters. Proficient at providing constructive feedback to team members following comprehensive reviews of client engagements.
