Manager or Senior Manager - Forensic Accounting & Advisory

Our client is a well established and fast growing player in the forensic, advisory & insolvency sectors, with offices nationally.
They currently have an opening for an experienced Forensic Accountant to join their growing team in Sydney at a Manager or Senior Manager level.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering forensic accounting and investigation services to clients and their legal representatives
- Assisting with complex financial matters in a team engaged to provide advice and reports of varying types
- Working on a portfolio of varied assignments across the Forensic Accounting business
- Conducting pre lending and ongoing audit reviews for finance companies/banks to identify potential risks, compliance and provide necessary recommendations
- Overseeing and conducting due diligence analysis for various engagements including for mergers and acquisitions
- Preparing and monitoring budgets/cashflow forecasts for clients across various industries
- Creating database systems to calculate underpayment of payroll for various awards and
industries
- Preparing industry reviews, financial analysis for business valuation engagements
- Performing financial investigations for insolvent companies and preparing solvency reports
- Performing in-depth financial analysis of a company’s financial statements including profit
and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements
- Overseeing and conducting forensic accounting reviews to calculate loss caused by different factors
- Creating and maintaining templates for calculations and reports for different types of engagement
- Writing expert witness reports for business valuations, solvency reports, investigative accountants reports and forensic accounting reports
- Overseeing and conducting introductory and ongoing training and development of new and junior staff members to ensure continual improvement of development and skills throughout the organization
About you:
- Degree qualified plus CA or CPA qualification (ideal)
- 5+ years experience in a forensic / advisory / insolvency firm
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to build financial models in Excel
- Highly developed interpersonal and both written and verbal communication skills
- Would describe themselves as “financially curious”: a critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated business acumen
- A desire to contribute to business development
- Naturally enthusiastic and collaborative in the team
