Take the lead of the Payment and Receivables team and build a strong service delivery culture.

As the Manager Payables and Receivables you be responsible for overseeing the purchasing payments functions, financial payment systems, the accounts receivable function of the Agency, and the timely collection of outstanding debt.
Your key duties include providing strategic advice on payment policies and debtor management consistent with legislation and address emerging issues impacting the Agency cross the portfolio areas of Families, Housing and Communities. You are responsible for leading the Payments and Receivables team to build a service delivery culture that understands the value of their work to individuals, families, non-government organisations and businesses and ensure the effective and efficient processing of payments and debit recovery. Continuously monitor, review, evaluate and improve procedures, as well as managing the general operations functions of the business unit.
To be successful in the role you will need highly developed management and leadership skills and experience with contemporary financial management, governance and accounting practices, procurement regulations, systems and processes. High developed interpersonal and communication skills and experience leading a multi-disciplined team within a busy, service focused environment. Tertiary qualifications in accounting and procurement along with membership of a professional accounting body would be well received.
