About the Role

In this role you will be part of the Cornell Design team providing additional design capacity and expertise to our clients during busy periods. You will regularly be working on our client's sites, integrated into their Mechanical engineering and design teams to help them achieve their desired outcomes. At times this will be with large companies, other teams could be as small as 2-3 people. Often the role is fast paced and you will be required to adapt to new environments quickly. At Cornell Design clients come first, being able to appropriately manage client's expectations is a must.

Duties & Responsibilities

To succeed you will need a flexible attitude towards changing work environments and projects. In addition, you will need to be able adapt quickly and 'hit the ground running' in getting up to speed with our clients’ specific requirements and drawing standards. Professional presentation, punctuality and working well in a team are essential attributes.

Skill & Experience

Mechanical applicants must have actual workplace experience and be proficient in AutoDesk Inventor, experience in AutoCad, Solidworks,  NX, Revit or Advanced Steel would be to your advantage. More importantly you will have completed a trade background (toolmaking, CNC machining, Fitting and Turning or boiler making trades are highly regarded), with at least 8 year's post-trade design and drafting experience. In all applicants, a strong attention to detail and excellent written, verbal, communication and documentation skills are a must.
