We're recruiting for a full-time permanent technician to join our busy microbiology team providing testing services to councils, industry and researchers.

Cawthron is New Zealand's largest independent science organisation. Our science uses new ideas and technology to support New Zealand's primary industries develop innovative, sustainable solutions. Based in Nelson, New Zealand, Cawthron is a diverse organisation employing around 300 scientists, laboratory technicians, researchers and specialist staff from 35 countries.

Ideally candidates will be available for an early start and have had exposure to microbiology laboratory quality systems and techniques including media preparation,sample preparation, sample testing and reading/entry of results for both routine microbiology and GMP accredited testing services. A BSc or equivalent qualification and relevant experience in a commercial laboratory is required.

The ability to work rostered weekends is required.
