What will you create?

 

The Legal Industry is going through a time of unprecedented change and redesign.  PwC Australia’s NewLaw team provides advisory and managed services to legal departments and law firms facing this change. We are looking for a new senior team member to help deliver engagements for global clients across multiple jurisdictions, as well as to support the delivery of our internal strategy and help build the PwC Australia NewLaw business.

 

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing team in a new global line of service at PwC. You will work closely with the NewLaw leadership team on a variety of exciting clients, as well as lead team members with a wide variety of experiences, and be involved in decisions relating to PwC Australia NewLaw’s future vision.

 

As a Senior Manager in our PwC Australia NewLaw team your contribution will be measured by:

  • Enabling and delivering transformational change for our clients whilst supporting several client projects at the same time, building relationships with key client stakeholders and internal sponsors , fo cusing on optimising legal service delivery through process improvement projects;

  • Delivery of the end-to-end lifecycle of the engagement from initiation to execution, and shaping and developing the engagement output;

  • Contributing to our inclusive team culture and within engagements and providing career direction, advice and mentoring for junior members of the team;

  • Contributing to development of our PwC NewLaw strategy, owning/developing service offerings, and other internal practice building initiatives such as training, operations, resourcing, recruitment, and developing our business by identifying opportunities with existing and new clients and driving sales activity; and

  • Applying our knowledge of emerging technologies and alternative legal delivery models, to assist our clients with opportunities to leverage AI-enabled platforms, self-service workflows, RPA and automation platforms, and outsourcing solutions to drive innovation, efficiency and effectiveness within our clients’ legal operations.

 

 

About you

 

Passionate about being at the forefront of change, you’re ready to help our NewLaw team deliver practical advice that speaks straight to the heart of client business issues and deliver innovative results.

 

You have a background in process improvement, operating model assessments, design and transformation, change management and technology gained in consulting roles, and have successfully led teams to deliver large business process improvement programs across various organisations, from initiation through to benefits realisation. You’ve worked with multidisciplinary project teams involving internal and external stakeholders across multiple locations and time zones, and maintain working relationships at different levels of seniority from project team members to client representatives. You understand different options for implementation - whether strategic planning and implementation, process reengineering and automation, technology and data, organisation redesign, and/or outsourcing. Whilst it would be beneficial for you to have legal sector experience, this is not a requirement.

 

You are educated to at least an undergraduate degree level or similar academic credit, and it would be beneficial if you held one or more of the following accreditations; Lean and/or Six Sigma, Project Management, Process Improvement.
