Payroll Administration Officer

15 to 20 HOURS PER WEEK
  • Are you an experienced Payroll/ Accounts professional looking for a secure part-time role?
  • Work 15 to 20 hours per week – flexible days & hours.
  • 50% payroll, 50% month-end support
This down to earth and friendly NFP offering services to support their members across Queensland is looking for an experience payroll officer with good bookkeeping/ accounting support skills to support a division of this NFP, including running a monthly corporate payroll of 50+ staff.

With numerous other benefits on top of the salary you will be working in a welcoming and positive office environment plus working alongside some highly experienced professionals with long term tenure.

Key duties will include: -
  • Perform full functionality of monthly payroll including calculating: - Payroll Tax; - Superannuation; - Workers Compensation; - Parental Leave; & Deductions;
  • Conducting payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations;
  • Onboarding new employee information including any entitlements;
  • Account for all monthly insurance commission and reconcile;
  • End of month reconciliation and close off for various regions;
  • Monthly reconciliations and invoicing for insurance premium payments; and
  • Assist with various ad hoc accounting/administrative tasks for the insurance division as directed by the Senior Accountant.
You will have 3+ years’ experience in a broad payroll role, proven experience in accounts support/ bookkeeping including high level reconciliations, good Excel skills and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
