Acquired Awareness Traffic Management is a highly regarded supplier of all Traffic Management Solutions. We currently have large government and private sector contracts covering numerous projects and locations.
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer who enjoys a challenge, is a fast learner, and has a great eye-for-detail. You will be responsible for running a weekly payroll of 300 people in a growing market.
This role provides you the opportunity to work in a family-owned, values-driven business who has strong employee tenure. You will be supported and guided to ensure you are a long-term and successful member of the business.
A typical week will involve
- Efficient and accurate processing of a 300+ end-to-end weekly payroll (fulltime and casual staff)
- Calculating leave accruals, terminations, redundancies, and all employee allowances
- Reconciliation and lodgement of superannuation and statutory obligations including PAYG, Payroll Tax, WorkCover
- Review and update payroll processes and procedures to ensure the payroll department is working efficiently and effectively as possible.
- Understanding the awards and EBA relevant to the organisation
- Answer team members questions relating to payroll
What you need to succeed in this role
- Demonstrate 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- A proven record of completing payroll accurately and on time
- Advance MYOB skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel, Outlook and Access skills
- Excellent attention to detail, time management skills and a high standard work
- You will be organised and efficient, manage competing priorities, and double-check your own work
- Self-motivation and ability to work effectively on your own or with a team
- A friendly and collaborative working style is essential
- Experience and skills in payroll processing for a labour hire or recruitment company will be highly regarded
- Although no tertiary qualifications are necessary, a degree or diploma in payroll/finance would be highly regarded
