About the role:

You will assist the team manager in the day-to-day accounting and payroll operations for Altios Australia and its clients:

  • Financial reporting for our clients’ mother companies
  • First point of contact for our clients’ tax, legal, HR, visas and accounting queries
  • First point of contact for our clients’ subsidiary creation in Australia
  • Preparation of year-end financials and review of tax returns in coordination with our tax agent
  • Preparation of Payroll and HR management for our clients
  • Reconciliation and lodgement of tax declarations: BAS/IAS, Payroll Tax, FBT Returns
  • Internal accounting processing and monthly reporting
  • Liaison with financial, tax, legal, HR stakeholders: banks, foreign exchange brokers, Australian Taxation Office, lawyers, superfunds, payroll providers, etc.
  • Data entry, invoice recording, bank reconciliation, AR/AR function, payroll processing, bookkeeping

Requirements:

·  Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting, taxes and payroll in a multiple-client environment

·  Minimum 1 to 2 years of local experience in Australia

·  Good command of Xero, Excel and other accounting tools is essential

·  Willingness to take initiatives and suggest solutions

·  Excellent communication skills in English (French language would be a plus)

·  Understanding and experience within an international business environment

·  Proactive and autonomous state of mind

·  Ability to work under time pressure and respect multiple deadlines

·  Attention to detail and accuracy

·  BAS Agent or CA/CPA partially or fully qualified

·  Available as soon as possible
